Product: How can I setup InterForm400 to do automatic merges?

Answer:

Merges between an input spooled file and an overlay (design) is usually done via the InterForm400 automation feature called ‘Auto Forms Control’ or AFC.

It is possible also to call InterForm400 commands form your own programs if you want to decide when this merge should be done. Most customers are using ‘Auto Forms Control’ to do the merges.

Auto Forms Control is actually a subsystem with a job for each output queue that is monitored. For each output queue you can setup rules for what to do (e.g. print, email or create PDF files) depending on a lot of spooled file attributes.
